Born to Splay was founded by two sisters, Maria and Elizabeth Oloyede, medical and master pedicurists with over a decade of experience in advanced foot care. After years of helping clients recover from damaged nails, cracked heels, and foot pain caused by poor footwear, we saw a deeper need. People were looking for guidance before the damage ever began.
We opened Born to Splay to fill that gap. This isn’t just a shoe store. It’s a wellness-focused space where people can learn how their footwear affects their entire body. Our goal is to help you choose shoes that support the natural shape and function of your feet. We also walk with you through the process of transitioning into minimalist shoes with care, education, and realistic advice.
What makes us different is that we don’t just sell shoes. We also share a space with our sister company, Ethereal MediPedi. That means you can get your foot care and your footwear in the same place. Whether you’re coming in to shop or just curious to learn more, you’ll have access to services like medical pedicures, fascia release through the Sole Reboot, and even functional podiatry visits on select days.
